PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the substantial aperture rate of a photoelectric conversion region, by providing a light converging means, which guides the light that is inputted in regions such as element isolating region, a wiring region and the like, which do not contribute to photoelectric conversion, into the light receiving surface of the photoelectric conversion region. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric conversion region 1 is an optical sensor cell and is electrically isolated from a neighboring photoelectric conversion region 1 by an element isolating region 2. A color filter 3 is formed on each photoelectric conversion region 1. A transparent film 4 comprising SiO2 and the like having a light converging function is formed on the filter. Namely, a slant surface 5 is provided at each transparent film 4 at a part corresponding to the element isolating region 2. Incident light 6 to the element isolating region 2 is converged to the side of each photoelectric conversion region 1. Therefore, the aperture ratio of the light receiving surface of the photoelectric conversion regions 1 is substantially improved.
