PURPOSE:To increase frequency in the contact of a desulfurizing agent with molten pig iron and to enhance the reaction efficiency by moving the tip of a blowing lance during the blowing of the desulfurizing agent so as to describe circular arcs. CONSTITUTION:When molten pig iron is desulfurized in a torpedo ladle car 1, a lance 3 is moved on a pin fulcrum 6 as the center with an actuator 10 so as to describe circular arcs. Since the tip of the lance 3 moves in the molten pig iron in the torpedo ladle car 1, a floating desulfurizing agent does not accumulate. The contact of the desulfurizing agent with the molten pig iron is repeated by turbulence caused on the surface of the molten pig iron by the movement of the lance 3, so the reaction efficiency is enhanced. The lance 3 may be linearly moved in the horizontal direction within the throat 11 of the torpedo ladle car 1. |
