<p>Tyre chain or anti-skid chain 1 having a chain net 2 which is provided between a steel cable ring 4 and a side chain 3, the side chain 3 which is to be arranged on the outside of the tyre being capable of being closed using an extension piece 5, and the steel cable ring 4 being composed of two semicircular rings 8, 9 which can be coupled by means of couplings 10, 11 provided at their ends. The coupling 10 which is arranged in the same circumferential region of the chain 1 as the open point of the side chain 3 can be opened radially towards the outside, while the couplings 11 which are arranged in a region of the chain 1 which is diametrically opposite the open point of the side chain 3 can be opened transversely with respect to the plane of the steel cable ring 4, i.e. in the direction of the chain net 2 or the side chain 3 which is arranged on the outside of the tyre. <IMAGE></p> |
