PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. giving a food packaging container which has a uniform section and forms neither pinhole nor crack and has excellent gas barrier properties, by blending an Li salt compd. and a long-chain aliph. or arom. amide with an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer. CONSTITUTION:0.1-5pts.wt. Li salt compd. (e.g. lithium halide) and 0.1-5pts.wt. long-chain aliph. amide or arom. amide (e.g. methylbenzamide) contg. an amide group which may have 1-2 N-substd. 1-5C alkyl groups and/or 1-18C low- molecular polyhydric alcohol (e.g. glycerol) are blended with 100pts.wt. ethylene/ vinyl alcohol copolymer having an ethylene content of 20-60mol%, a degree of saponification of 90% or above and an MI of 0.1-25g/10min.
