The subject of the invention relates to the technical field of vehicles in general and more particularly to hitches for vehicles. The device essentially comprises, in combination, two assemblies A and B mounted slideably guided relative to one another in the axis of the trailer; one of the assemblies B receives the front rolling axle assembly of the trailer and is coupled to the chassis C of the said trailer by a means 5 shaped so that the said assembly B is free to rotate and fixed in translation, the other assembly A being securely fastened in its front part to a towing boom 3 and, in its rear part, to a rolling member 6 interacting with a fixed profiled slide rail 7 which the face of the underside of the chassis C of the trailer exhibits overhangingly so as to allow, upon rotation of the carrying/towing vehicle, the displacement of the assembly A and of the boom 3 relative to the rotary assembly receiving the front axle assembly of the trailer in step with the advancement and rotation of the said vehicle. <IMAGE>
