PURPOSE:To provide a hair lotion containing castor oil, an alcohol, water and a specific solubilizing agent as essential components, giving moist and well- dressed hair, imparting luster and softness to hair, free of stickiness and having agreeable characteristic feeling of vegetable oil. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair lotion can be produced by compounding 5-22W/V% vegetable oil (e.g. castor oil, olive oil, camellia oil, etc.), 5-31W/V%, preferably 7-20W/V%, more preferably 8-15W/V% solubilizing agent comprising a 12-22C branched and saturated monocarboxylic acid (e.g. isolauric acid, isomyristic acid, isostearic acid, etc.) and 0-5W/V% surfactant (mainly nonionic surfactant such as polyethylene glycol alkyl ether), adding 85-38V/V% alcohol (having low irritation, preferably ethanol), and adding a proper amount of water to get 100pts. of the lotion.
