PURPOSE:To easily apply tension necessary for a metal diaphragm, by engaging the projection and notch part of a pair of rings in such a state that the end edge part of the metal diaphragm, of which the edge part is fixed, between said projection and notch part. CONSTITUTION:A metal diaphragm 11 is placed on the upper surface of a ring 12 and the end edge of the diaphragm 11 is fixed to the upper surface positioned outside the notch part 15 of the ring 12 by welding. Subsequently, the projection 14 of the ring 12 is inlaid with the notch part 15 of a ring 13 so as to hold the diaphragm 11 between said projection 14 and said notch part 15. Thus manufactured diaphragm A receives sufficient tension at the part positioned in the rings by the plastic deformation of the outer circular edge part of said diaphragm 11. By this method, the tention necessary for the diaphragm 11 can be easily imparted and constitution is made simple and can be inexpensively obtained.
