PURPOSE:To shorten a required processing time by counting the number of elements satisfying a condition for producing a mask vector, reading the counted value when performing a vector calculation having the mask and converting into the vector calculation having no mask when the counted value coincides with the number of the vector elements to be processed to perform. CONSTITUTION:After the completion of a production of a mask vector, a vector instruction control means 20 selects an address of GR by a register file address selector 19 to write the content of a counter 13 or the number of an element of a mask bit value '1' in a register file 15. Then, when a vector calculation instruction of M=1 is read to a vector instruction register 16, the vector instruction control means 20 reads the contents thereof from the register file 15, compares (a completion element number of the vector calculation-start element number) and (the number of elements satisfying a mask vector producing condition), and when the coincidence is detected, carries out a vector calculation having no mask instead of the vector calculation having the mask. Thereby, by omitting a reading of the mask vector, and a reading and a calculation control every one element by the mask bit, a required processing time is shortened. |
