PURPOSE:To make always a horizontal synchronous signal coincident with timing signal groups by forming two timing signal groups relating to horizontal and vertical scanning cycles and resetting counting means of the timing signal groups through a discontinuous-time horizontal synchronous signal of a video signal. CONSTITUTION:A recording signal processing circuit 2 allows video signals inputted from a terminal 1 to assume a signal from to be suitable for recording and a field of the video signals is recorded on a magnetic sheet 5 by a head 4. On the other hand, in case of regenerating, the video signals picked up by the head 4 are brought back to the initial signal form by a regeneration signal processing circuit 6 and are outputted from a terminal 8 after adding a synchronous signal obtained by a compound decoder 21. A system controller 12 permits a reset gate 19 to open for a horizontal scanning period and the reset gate 20 for a vertical scanning period, just after a discontinuity takes place in the video signals. Thus a timing of the timing signal groups outputted by the compound decoder 21 is accurately coincident with the horizontal synchronous signal and its signal processing is always performed smoothly. |
