PURPOSE:To properly supply a lubricating oil and prevent generation of vibration and abnormal sound, by providing a hot-wire current meter in a casing of an oil-cooled screw compressor for confirming a liquid film generated in a gap defined between a rotor tooth tip and an inner surface of the casing. CONSTITUTION:A hot-wire current meter 4 is provided in a casing 3 of an oil-cooled screw compressor at a position between a tooth tip of female and male rotors 1 and 2 and an inner wall surface of the casing. An inner end of the hot-wire current meter 4 is positioned on an ideal oil film surface so as to detect an oil film thickness. As the hot-wire current meter 4 is capable of properly detecting a current gradient in a direction of the film thickness, an amount of a lubricating oil to be supplied to the screw compressor may be accurately confirmed.
