PURPOSE:To cope flexibly with the thickness of various cards by adopting a constitution that the 1st and 3rd carrier rollers are lifted up over the thickness of a magnetic card when the 2nd carrier roller is lifted up by the magnetic card. CONSTITUTION:When a card 17 is carried while being clipped between the 1st carrier roller 18 and the 1st depressing roller 19, the 1st and 3rd pressing roller hold members 33 are turned around a shaft 37 clockwise by an angle corresponding to the thickness of the card and the tip 42a of an interlocking member 42 is detached from the 2nd pressing roller holder 40. When the tip of the card 17 reaches the 2nd carrier roller 24, the card 17 lifts up the pressing roller 28, which is held by the hold member 40 turning around the shaft 41 by an angle corresponding to the thickness of the card 17. In this case, the tip 42a of the interlocking member and the press contact part 40a of the member 40 are lifted up by b/a times from the roller 28, the member 33 is lifted up by (b/a-1) times further from the interlocking member 42, and when the card 17 is detached from the roller 24, the roller 29 is carried by using a spring 38 while the card 17 is clipped with the 3rd carrier roller 43.
