PURPOSE:To slacken a seat belt to a required level at the time of its fastening and enable the change of posture for reverse running without any manual operation. CONSTITUTION:A retaining member 17, a spring 18 and a solenoid 20 catch a gear mechanism and comprise a tensionless mechanism to prevent the rotation of a take-up shaft in a belt-taking position. And the secondary output means 30b of a control device 30 regulates a motor 25 and said mechanical tensionless mechanism for slackening a belt to a required level from its pulled-out position, according to detection by a detector for the pulled-out position of the belt. Also, a reverse lamp switch 40 as a reverse detecting means is turned ON when a shift lever is changed to a reverse position, a signal therefrom is inputted to the device 30 and an output signal from the device 30 is inputted to the electrodes of a motor 25 and a solenoid 20. |
