<p>A process for non-catalytically removing NOx from combustion effluent streams containing at least 0.1 vol.% O2 is disclosed comprising contacting the effluent at temperatures of about 1100 DEG K to 1500 DEG K and at superatmospheric pressure with ammonia in a contacting zone where the combustion effluent has a residence time of above 2 milliseconds.</p> |
