PURPOSE:To provide paint for artificial turf, which has good workability, can be multi-colored, gives a coating film whose hardness can be controlled, has good adhesion and utilization efficiency and is non-disappearing, consisting of a copolymer, an aq. pigment paste and a filler. CONSTITUTION:85-95wt% (meth)acrylate ester and 5-15wt% ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid are emulsion-polymerized to obtain a copolymer. 0.1-200pts.wt. (on a solid basis) O/W type aq. pigment (e.g. inorg. or org. pigment) paste wherein water forms a continuous phase and the pigment is finely dispersed therein, and 0-500pts.wt. filler (e.g. talc) having a particle size of 0.5-100mum are blended with 100pts.wt. copolymer to obtain a paint compsn. for artificial turf, which has a viscosity of 10,000-30,000 cP at 25 deg.C and a coefficient of thixotropy of 0.35-0.50.
