PURPOSE:To suppress the abrupt start of an induction motor by controlling a conduction rate at starting time of the induction motor for the prescribed time to alleviate the starting acceleration characteristic. CONSTITUTION:A phase controller 3 decides the timing of a trigger signal of a triac 2 according to phase data set to a phase data setter 5. The setter 5 delivers phase data T1-T3 to the phase controller 3 in response to the output signal of a counter 4. The counter 4 inputs a power sync pulse signal and simultaneously sequentially counts the pulse of the pulse signal, and outputs the phase data T1 until the counted value arrives at C1, the phase data T2 during C1-C2, phase data T3 during C2-C3, and all firing data when exceeding the C3.
