PURPOSE:To effect the accurate preset of beam by providing the measuring guide CO2 laser system composed of a high-output CO2 laser oscillator, a low- output CO2 oscillator having the same wavelength as that of said high-output oscillator, a CO2 laser beam detector arranged near the processing position, and display. CONSTITUTION:The laser process system is provided with a processing CO2 laser oscillator 10, a measuring guide CO2 laser 12, a CO2 detector 13, transmission paths BG1-BG4, beam-bending mirrors BM1-BM3, and a condenser LN. The detector 13 is attached movably to a protective cylinder of the transmission path BG4 by use of an Au-Ge element and it is kept away from the optical path of the beam before the irradiation with CO2 laser for processing after detecting the position of CO2 beam. These lasers have the same wavelength and if the measuring guide CO2 laser beam LB2 and the processing CO2 laser beam LB1 are put in the same axis at the entrance of the transmission system, it becomes possible to adjust the center of the beam and to adjust and preset the condensing system in all of the transmission system and the condensing system by the measuring guide CO2 laser system.
