PURPOSE:To set a starting acceleration to constant by limiting a motor current by a motor speed at starting time, thereby reducing a driver power consumption at the starting time. CONSTITUTION:A voltage 9 proportional to a motor current is limited by a differential amplifier 7, a diode 10 and a power transistor 4 so as not to exceed a reference voltage 8. In other words, when the voltage 9 proportional to the motor current exceeds the voltage 8, the output of the amplifier 7 becomes L level, the diode 10 is conducted to reduce the base current of the transistor 4, thereby limiting the motor current. The voltage 8 varies by the voltage proportional to the motor speed by a signal from F.G. 3 and an F/V converter 6.
