PURPOSE:To improve maintenance properties, to prolong the lifetime of printers and to attain the cost reduction of a system, by obtaining the real working time of a printer, etc. after converting it into the working time by the number of characters delivered by an on-line system and giving the monitor and guidance to said working time. CONSTITUTION:When a monitor message and the form data are delivered by an on-line system to a man-machine device 5 and plural printers 4, each real printing time of printers is calculated by the number of characters delivered to the printers. Thus the total working time at every printer is counted and monitored and the guidance information useful to average the working time of the printers and to decide the maintenance timing can be obtained without fetching the drive state signal of each printer. This improves the maintenance properties, prolongs the lifetime and attains the cost reduction of a system with printers. |
