PURPOSE:A drug material for external use having immediate effect and durability, making a drug to be absorbed both through the exodermis and the mucosa, obtained by laminating an endermically absorbable drug-containing substrate layer having pressure-sensitive adhesiveness at normal temperature to a substrate containing a drug volatile and evaporable at a bodily temperature. CONSTITUTION:A drug-containing layer having an endermically absorbable drug (e.g., analgesic anti-inflammatory agent, coronary vasodilator, etc.) and pressure-sensitive adhesiveness at normal temperature is laminated to a carrier containing a drug (e.g., amyl nitrile, l-menthol, etc.) volatile and evaporable at a bodily temperature. An acrylic copolymer is preferable as the substrate having pressure-sensitive adhesiveness at normal temperature. Polyvinyl chloride, PE, etc., may be cited as the substrate. The volatilizing and scattering drug is absorbed through the nasal mucosas and the mucosa in the oral cavity having high endermic adsorption is absorbed to give a drug material for external used showing immediate effects, making the endermically absorbable drug in the substrate layer be absorbed, having both immediate effect and durability.
