PURPOSE:To obtain an extremely good synthesized photograph even after a copying of an image pick up is completed by designating two memory means of plural memory means and synthesizing the image information stored in the designated memory means to obtain the synthesizing information. CONSTITUTION:Image memories m1-m36 are constituted by a RAM and by giving a signal e outputted from a control section 31 to R/W input terminals of the respective memories m1-m36, a writing and a reading operations are controlled. Thus, the picture image data read from the memories m1-m36 is fed to an image synthesizing circuit 39 and an auxiliary memory 40, respectively. The circuit 30 is constituted by an OR gate and the memory 40 is constituted by a RAM and the circuit 39 constitutes synthesizes the image data read from the memories m1-m36 with the image data read from the memory 40. The image data outputted from the circuit 39 is stored in a display RAM 41 and thereafter displayed on a display device 14.
