PURPOSE:To separate and remove partially fluorinated compounds, etc., remaining in crude perfluoro-N-alkyldecahydroquinoline compound, by adsorbing the impurities with a specific adsorbent, thereby producing the titled compound purified to the highest possible degree by a simple method. CONSTITUTION:Crude perfluoro-N-alkyldecahydroquinoline compound pretreated by alkali amine treatment and/or alcoholate treatment is purified by the adsorption of the partially fluorinated compounds and unsaturated compounds remaining in the crude objective compound with an adsorbent composed mainly of silica and/or alumina. The silica-based adsorbent is e.g. silica gel, active clay, magnesium silicate, etc., and the alumina-based adsorbent is e.g. active alumina, alumina gel, etc. The silica-alumina adsorbent is e.g. zeolite, silica- alumina, etc.
