PURPOSE:To find accurately a range by holding the sum of the time required to detect subject brightness and a wait time constant and regarding the constant time as a time for high voltage generation for distance measurement. CONSTITUTION:A timer is used to hold the time from the operation of a switch S1 to LED light emission constant regardless of the time required to detect subject brightness. A CPU 1 turns off a transistor Q2 the set time of the timer later to start charging a capacitor C2 with a constant current and a range finding voltage Va is inputted in terms of time to obtain accurate distance measurement data.
