This folder has a first board 9 made of a rigid or semi-rigid synthetic material and corresponding in surface area to that of the first flap. This board 9 has a lateral extension 10 whose width is greater than the maximum desired width of the spine, and it comprises at least one slot 13, 14 running in the direction of its width, the ends of the slots stopping short of its lateral edges. The folder also has a second board 19 made of a synthetic material, its surface area corresponding to that of the second flap, and projecting from its inner face and generally parallel to this face are tabs 23, 25 formed by cutting, each of which tabs is intended to pass through a slot 13, 14 in the first board, the second board 19 and the extension 10 of the first board being arranged so that the extension 10 of the first board lies on the inside of the folder relative to the second board 19. <IMAGE>
