The invention relates to a method for the production of a lateral feeder sleeve which has a curved feeder duct and is to be fitted to a foundry mould, whereupon the moulding material is introduced into a split feeder mould with a corresponding mould bed and mould core and the finished feeder sleeve is then released from the mould. The feeder sleeve is moulded in one piece. After the opening of the feeder mould, the one-piece feeder sleeve can be pulled off from the mould core without damage, the mould core being designed with a curvature which facilitates pulling off. <IMAGE>
