PURPOSE:To enable the repeated use of an ink ribbon without reversing the front and back of a cassette, by providing at least two opening part, where the ink ribbon is contacted with a printing head, to the cassette. CONSTITUTION:A cassette main body 1 is mounted so that a take-up core 4 in an initial state is connected to the take-up shaft 22 on a carriage and a printing head 21 is engaged with a front side opening part 5 to start printing operation. This printing operation is performed by pressing the ink ribbon 2 passing through the opening part 5 to a platen side by tilting the printing head 21 to contact the same with recording paper under pressure. When the transfer to the take-up core 4 is perfectly performed, this state is detected by a sensor part 9 and the printing head 21 is stopped at that position to perform information by an information means. The front and rear of the cassette main body 1 is rotated by 180 deg. and the printing head 21 is engaged with a rear side opening part 6 to gain start printing and the ink ribbon can be repeatedly used. |
