PURPOSE:To allow a painter to input data to a computer easily by reciprocating a spray gun in the direction of the Y-axis of the orthogonal axes X and Y without program control and program-controlling the gun in the direction of the X-axis and in the direction of the Z-axis vertical to the horizontal plane. CONSTITUTION:When a spray gun is three-dimensionally driven under computer control, the spray gun is controlled in the direction of the X-axis of the orthogonal X and Y axis and in the direction of the Z-axis vertical to the horizontal plane formed by the X and the Y axis and the gun is reciprocally driven in the direction of the Y-axis between the X and Y axes without program control. Consequently, the gun is reciprocated in the Y-axis direction with a fixed amplitude and driven in the directions of X and Z axes under program control. Accordingly, the input of data is remarkably facilitated and data can be inputted to a computer by a painter.
