PURPOSE:To obtain a computer program generating device that can generate programs of high flexibility and high readability by possessing display attribute data corresponding to each data constituting a program independently, and displaying according to corresponding display attribute when displaying the program. CONSTITUTION:An inputting device 3 that inputs data constituting a program and display the attribute information for the data and a program editing device 8 that inputs the information from the inputting device and operates the content of memory of a program storage section 9 and a display attribute storage section 10 basing on the information inputted according to the kind of information are provided. Further, a display unit 1 that inputs the content of memory from the program storage section 9 and the display attribute section 10 and displays the content of the program storage section basing on the content of corresponding display attribute section. Thus, it becomes possible to display attribute section. Thus, it becomes possible to display a source program in color and to see the definition data in the program in form of a table without changing existing language specification, a compiler etc.
