<p>The clamping mechanism is for machine tools, involving a rotating cylinder (1) with which rotates an inner, axially displaceable piston (2) on a connecting rod (7). To feed pressure medium to activate the piston, two conduits pass through the connecting rod and issue on each side of the piston. To conduct another fluid through the connecting rod, a central channel (16) is provided, issuing in a fixture (3) for a clamping component. The pressure medium conduits comprise several symmetrically distributed side channels (10.1,10.2,11.1,11.2) around the central channel (16), each connected by cross channels (24,25) leading to check valves (20.1,20.2,21.2,21.1) in the piston.</p> |
