PURPOSE:To obtain spun yarn having high strength, stably, by placing an aspirator and an auxiliary pipe successively between a front roller and stretch- breaking roller, and introducing compressed air thereto, thereby enabling the efficient and controlled transfer of the broken fiber bundle. CONSTITUTION:An aspirator 4 and an auxiliary pipe 5 are placed in series between the front rollers 1, 1' and the stretch-breaking rollers 2, 2', and compressed air is supplied to the aspirator to cause the air stream flowing along the same direction to the broken fiber bundle 9 running in the auxiliary pipe 5. The fiber bundle T is stretched and broken between the front rollers 1, 1 and the stretch-breaking rollers 2, 2' rotating at higher speed than the front roller, and the obtained broken fiber bundle 9 is sucked with the aspirator 4. The broken fiber bundle 9 is opened and transferred through the aspirator 4 and the auxiliary pipe 5 with the compressed air stream in controlled manner, subjected to false-twisting with a false-twister 6 via the stretch-breaking rollers 2, 2', and wound as spun yarn Y in the form of a package 8.
