PURPOSE:To obtain a non-magnetic miniature light-weight shaft excellent in distortion-proof property and of high hardness, by organizing the shaft with alloy(s) consisting of one kind of carbon or nitrogen of specified percentage at least, manganese, chrome, and the residual element of iron and attendant impurities. CONSTITUTION:A shaft for a motor is organized with an alloy consisting of one kind of 0.05-1.5% carbon or nitrogen at least by weight percentage, 10-30% manganese, 10-30% chrome, and the residual element of iron and attendant impurities. Carbon and nitrogen are elements for lowering permeability to form the texture of the shaft in austenite phase and for improving distortion- proof property, and chrome is an element for improving corrosion-proof property and for keeping distortion-proof property and non-magnetic property due to the stabilization of the texture and for lightening weight, and manganese is an element for keeping non-magnetic property and for improving distortion-proof property and for lightening weight. |
