PURPOSE:To prevent an ink from being transferred onto the surface of a reflector, accurately discriminate a ribbon end and prevent misprinting, by a method wherein when winding an ink ribbon, an ink at a part of an ink-coated side to be brought into contact with the surface of a reflector is previously removed. CONSTITUTION:An end part of the ink ribbon 21 is fixed to a ribbon winding core 23 by a fixing part 22, and the reflector 25 is fitted to a base film side 24 of the ribbon 21 at a position of a predetermined length from the end part. The reflector 25 consists of an aluminum foil, and reflects the light cast on the ribbon 21, thereby indicating the ribbon end of the ribbon 21. The ink 27 is provided on the ink-coated side of the ribbon 21, and a part of the ink 27 is removed. The removal region E is located at the part which is brought into contact with the reflector 24 when the ribbon 21 is wound in a pancake form. |
