PURPOSE:To facilitate setting piles by a method in which a slide frame is attached to a strut, a weight vertically movable along the slide frame is provided, and a pile holder to hold a pile by turning at least 90 deg. within the vertical face is provided below the weight. CONSTITUTION:After a main wire 20 is loosened to lower a slide frame 11, the coupling between a coupling metal 48 and the notch 47 of a plate 46 is released, and a pile holder 21 is turned sideways. A pile 49 is then inserted between halves 42a and 42b of the pile holder 21, a pin 50 is inserted into the pin hole 51, the pile 49 is held, and the wire 20 is pulled up to lift up the frame 11 and the pile together. A subwire 19 is pulled up, and while the weight 15 is connected, the chuck device 18 is pulled up. Whereupon, the weight 15 and the coupling of the chuck device 18 are uncoupled, and the weight 15 is dropped to strike the pile head 49a. |
