PURPOSE:To make possible uniform cooling with high efficiency by providing cooling liquid jackets which cover both the top and bottom surfaces of a strip between rolling stands of a cold rolling device and providing a device to circulate a strip cooling liquid to such cooling jackets. CONSTITUTION:The jackets 6 which sandwich the strip 1 from above and below are sealed at both ends in the traveling direction of the strip 1 by seal rolls 7. The rolls 7 which sandwich the strip 1 from above and below are coated with flexible linings and are made rotatable. The upper and lower jackets 6, 6 are mounted to the strip 1 from above and below by feed mechanisms and are provided with sealing parts 10 which engage the jackets 6 with each other by positioning the same. The cooling liquid entering the jackets 6 from cooling liquid feed parts 9 contacts with the strip 1 and is discharged from cooling liquid feedback parts 8 to the outside of the jackets 6 after cooling the strip 1. The cooling liquid is further passed through filters 11 and heat exchangers 12 and is again fed into the jackets 6 from the cooling liquid feed parts by pumps 13. |
