PURPOSE:To enable manufacturing a high characteristics anisotropic permanent magnet by orientating magnetic powder in the radial directions of even-number multiple poles in a pulse magnetic field and by finishing the formation with a pulse pressure within the time of magnetic field generation. CONSTITUTION:A press formation is carried out within an extremely short time during the generation of a magnetic field by generating the pulse magnetic field by using the discharge of a condenser. A magnetic circuit used is a magnetization yoke for four pole radial orientation, dies 14 are provided in the cavity of a yoke coil 13 and ferromagnetic powder 10 is magnetized. A high-pressure air generated by a compressor 1 is stored in a tank 2, the pressure is adjusted to a required pressure by a reducing valve 3 and when an electromagnetic valve 4 is rapidly released, an upper hammer 5 accelerated by the high-pressure air under its own weight strikes a lower hammer 6 and the ferromagnetic powder 10 is formed by the upper hammer 6 striking an upper punch 11. That is, the kinetic energy of the hammer is converted to formation energy. This greatly increases the productivity of a press and enables to obtain high characteristics due to an anisotropic magnet.
