SURFACE PROCESSING METHOD FOR RETARDING REACTION OR DISSOLUTION FOR WATER OF MATERIAL ALLOWING TO REACT WITH WATER OR DISSOLVING IN WATER

PURPOSE:To make the rate of reaction between water and the following substance and the dissolving velocity thereof small by coating hydrophobic liquid on the surface of a water-reactive or water soluble substance and thereafter sticking a hydrophilic waxy substance and/or the ultrafine powder thereon. CONSTITUTION:The hydrophobic liquid 2 is sprayed and stuck while floating and fluidizing a substance (core substance) 1 allowing to react with water or dissolving in water. Then the waxy substance 3 is stuck on the surface by joining the waxy substance 3 controlled with the hydrophilic properties with the use of a stirrer fitted with a cutter. The reaction and the dissolution of the core substance 1 are retarded by coating the inorganic or organic ultrafine powder 4 on the material stuck with the waxy substance 3. The above-mentioned waxy substance 3 controlled with the hydrophilic properties has the hydrophilic properties but is obtained by adding a hydrophilic substance such as a surface-active agent to the hydrophobic wax which is not immediately dissolved in the moment touching water and slowly dissolved.
