<p>PURPOSE:To perform dehumidification of compressed air at high efficiency with a small and light weight device without requiring exchange of parts nor particular electric power by separating compressed air to hot and cold air by adiatic expansion, dehumidifying the compressed air by the cold air, then mixing the hot air to elevate the temp. of the cold air. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air from a compressor at high temp. and high humidity is introduced into a device from an inlet 1 of the device 20, cooled and dehumidified by contacting with finned tubes 22 which are formed spirally with perforations on the external periphery of an expansion chamber 18; condensed water is discharged from a water discharging hole 3. The compressed air is then passed through a filter 11 removing oil, dust, etc., allowed to cause vortex motion in each groove 24 formed in a flange 23 of a nozzle 19 from an opening 14 of an exhaust air pipe 17, and separated into hot air and cold air by throttle expansion. The cold air is introduced into the expansion chamber 18 from an orifice 26 of the nozzle having a small bore size to transmit the cold to the finned tubes 22. The hot air is sucked by an ejector, etc. from an outlet 4 of the waste heat air through a pipe 5, mixed with the cold air from the expansion chamber 18 and discharged in the form of dry air from the outlet 2.</p> |
