PURPOSE:To contrive enhancement of writing sensitivity and C/N in reading and a reduction in deterioration of C/N on reproduction by repeated irradiation with reading light, by providing a base and a film comprising a light-absorbing coloring matter and a specified low boiling point substance. CONSTITUTION:The light-absorbing coloring matter is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of cyanines, melocyanines, triphenylmethanes, naphthoquinones, xanthenes, squaliums, azulenes, azo-compounds, stilbenes, phthalocyanines, anthraquinones, azines and indigoids, while the low boiling point substance having an evaporation point lower than the melting point of the coloring matter and being solid at normal temperature has an evaporation point of 40-300 deg.C. The film comprising these components can be provided with bits by irradiating it with a recording beam. |
