PURPOSE:Pigment which consists of metallic powder in a specific shape and provides a molded article having improved appearance free from weld line and flow mark when it is blended with a synthetic resin and injection molded. CONSTITUTION:Pigment comprising metallic powder particles having 1/25-1, preferably 1/15-1/2 average shape ratio (thickness/particle diameter), <=30wt%, preferably <=20wt% passing ratio of 500 meshes Tyler standard sieve and >=95%, preferably >=95wt% passing ratio of 200 meshed Tyler standard sieve. Aluminum powder is used as the metallic powder, another metal (e.g., stainless steel, or nickel) is also used, most preferably 100wt% metallic component is blended and it may be blended with a small amount of volatile component. 100pts.wt. resin is blended with 0.3-10pts.wt. of the pigment.
