PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compsn. having storage stability and useful as a modifier for rubber goods and resins, by crosslinking a latex consisting of a non-crystalline copolymer and a (modified) low-molecular alpha-olefin copolymer. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. rubber (A) composed of a non-crystalline ethylene/alpha- olefin (/polyene) copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-2.0dl/g (in decahydronaphthalene soln. at 135 deg.C; the same applies hereinbelow) obtd. by copolymerizing 50-87mol% of ethylene, a 3-10C alpha-olefin and optionally, a polyene such as 1,4-hexadiene, and 2-50pts.wt. low-molecular alpha-olefin copolymer (B) composed of a waxy copolymer having a density of 0.90g/cm<3> or above and a softening point of 90 deg.C or above or a liquid copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.01-0.3dl/g and/or modified alpha-olefin copolymer (B) obtd. by grafting a 3-10C unsaturated carboxylic acid compd. onto said alpha-olefin copoly mer, are uniformly dispersed in an aq. medium. The resulting latex is crosslinked to obtain the titled compsn. whose solid has an average particle size of 0.2-3mu. |
