A device for mounting bearings by welding comprising a housing (6) with a cavity (7) for receiving a bearing (1) as well as means (9) for keeping the bearing in place in the cavity. The housing (6) is made of weldable material and includes a central, hub like part (10) in which the cavity (7) for receiving the bearing is located, as well as an endless wall (11) projecting from the hub part said wall having a marked axial extent in order to locate a free end (12), that is distant from the hub part, at a marked distance from an edge (15) of said wall connected to the hub part so as to prevent the deforming thermal stresses, that are generated when said free end of the wall is welded, from reaching the hub part and the bearing located therein. |
