PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of welding defects and to obtain good welding zone by detecting the pinching pressure of dicoid electrode and by controlling the pinching pressure within the set standard in a mobile seam welding equipment. CONSTITUTION:The rotation transmitting gear wheels 4c, 4e are engaged via intermediate gear wheel 4d with the rotary shaft which is provided via solenoid clutches 5a, 5b on respectively a pair of engaging gear wheels 4a, 4b to be rotated with the motor 3 for traveling as the power source. The rotary shaft provided on either the rotation transmitting gear wheels 4c, 4e or intermediate gear wheel 4d is connected to the screw 9 which adjusts the pinching pressure of the discoid electrodes 2a, 2b. The discoid electrode 2a is then pressed to the opposing discoid electrode 2b by providing a compression spring 11 on the end part of the screw 9. A load cell 12 is provided on the arm 10a of the discoid electrode supporting cylinder and the screw 9 and the arm 10b of the electrode supporting cylinder are engaged as well by the screw. The pinching pressure is then adjusted by comparing by control device 13 the pinching pres sure of the discoid electrodes 2a, 2b detected by the load cell 12 as to whether it is within the set standard.
