The invention proposes load-bearing profiles for assembly installations, supporting structures and conveyor belts which are particularly suitable for use in single-belt and twin-belt conveyors and comprise cut-to-size metal sheets which have been bent off a number of times and, forming a box-shaped hollow profile, are connected in the form of a strip at at least one longitudinal weld seam (9). The load-bearing profiles can be bent in one piece from a rectangular cut-to-size metal sheet and have longitudinal grooves (1) configured as dovetail grooves, as a result of which particularly good strength properties are obtained. On the other hand, it is also possible to form the load-bearing profiles from a number of profile strips which are in each case identical to one another and are connected to one another by longitudinal weld seams at least in the region of the longitudinal grooves on their longitudinal edges. <IMAGE>
