PURPOSE:To form a step difference of desired shape and dimensions by joining a metallic piece having desired shape and dimensions to a metallic sheet to be rolled through a release agent and removing the metallic piece after heating and rolling them. CONSTITUTION:A metallic piece 2 corresponding to the desired shape 3 of a taper and the desired thickness and area of a step difference, is joined to the desired position of a metallic sheet 1 to be rolled. At that time, a release agent 4 is coated on the contacting surfaces of the sheet 1 and piece 2, to easily remove the piece 2 after rolling. Spot weldings are provided to the circumference of metallic piece 2 to prevent its separation from the sheet 1 during rolling. The rolling sheet 1 is heated and rolling into the desired thickness together with the piece 2 joined to the sheet 1, to obtain a rolled sheet 6. The piece 2 is deformed into a metallic piece 7, which is removed by cutting off the four sides of sheet 6 to obtain a metallic sheet having a desired stepped surface. |
