PURPOSE:To constitute a light-emitting diode in a plane shape and in three dimensions only by the light-emitting diode without using a wiring substrate by aligning and arranging a plurality of the light-emitting diodes and mutually connecting oppositely contacting cathode terminals and anode terminals. CONSTITUTION:Cathode terminals 4c, 4c on which a light-emitting pellet 3 is mounted are projected in the opposite directions on a straight line from the side surface of a package 2 molded and formed by a transparent resin, and these terminals are conducted electrically. Anode terminals 4a, 4a mutually projected in the opposite directions in the directions rectangular to the cathode terminals 4c are shaped on the same plane as the plane of the cathode terminals. Accordingly, a plurality of light-emitting diodes 1 formed are aligned, and the cathode terminals 4c and the anode terminals 4a are connected mutually in a matrix manner through a method such as a solder joining, thus constituting a dot matrix display unit without using a wiring substrate. |
