PURPOSE:To obtain a channel controller which allows completely duplexed central processing systems to have communication by selecting and switching the central processing systems even if a fault occurs in one of channel systems which interface with the central processing systems. CONSTITUTION:The channel systems (SP system) 0 system and SP 1 system 2 are provided with time switch parts 11 are 12 one to one respectively and further provided with signal receiving and distributing devices 12 and 23 for identical system transmission and signal receiving and distributing devices 13 and 22 for cross system transmission. Then, the central processing systems of a CP system and the SP system are connected in four ways, i.e. 0 system to 0 system, 1 system to 1 system, 0 system to 1 system, and 1 system to 0 system, by connecting one of four interface devices 31, 32, 42, and 42 and one of 12, 13, 22, and 23 of the CP system and SP system. For example, a system 3 of the CP system 0 in use accesses a system 1 of the SP system 0 in use, stand-by and in-use SP systems are switched and a system 1 of the SP system 1 is accessed if a fault occurs to the signal receiving and distributing device 12 as the interface device of the systems of the SP system 1. |
