PURPOSE:To produce the titled insecticidal agent having excellent compression- molded solid form, by impregnating an active volatile liquid component having fragrance in a carrier material composed of calcium silicate having a specific surface area, and mixing the carrier supporting the active component with sublimable insecticidal solid component powder. CONSTITUTION:The objective insecticide can be produced by compression molding a mixture containing a sublimable insecticidal solid component powder such as p-dichlorobenzene as a main component and mixed with a powdery carrier composed of calcium silicate having a specific surface area of >=100m<2>/g by BET process and impregnated with an active volatile liquid component having fragrance. The agent iseffective to the moth-proofing in a closet, a Japanense or Western-style cabinet, a container or case of clothes, etc., toilet, kitchen, etc. EFFECT:It has excellent compression-moldability to form a solid product resistant to collapse, having high toughness without using a binder and leaving little carrier residue after use.
