<p>A can coiler with sliver inlet opening (1) on its head side, which opening is arranged in a rotating plate (11) and is flanked by calender rolls (16) the drive for which is derived from the rotary motion of the rotating plate (11) in the head of the can coiler. A structural form which is simple to manufacture and favorable in use and for maintenance is provided by the drive of the calender rolls being developed as a belt drive with a friction wheel (13) which can be shifted into position of application against an annular surface (18') of the head (10) of the can coiler.</p> |
