A diagnostic system for use in applied kinesiology comprising a first electrode for connection with a reference location of a physical body; a second electrode for connection with an applied kinesiology reflex point of the physical body; a power supply for applying a given voltage across both electrodes; a switch for reversing the polarity of the given voltage across the first and second electrodes at different times under the same condition for selectively passing a positive and negative current between the electrodes and through the physical body; a current presetting circuit for controlling the voltage to adjust the current to be passed through the physical body; a detector for detecting the positive and the negative currents passing through the physical body as the current becomes stabilized; a display for displaying the difference between the detected values of the positive and the negative currents; and determining the magnitudes of the positive and the negative currents passed through the physical body.
