摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the strength of a joint part by decreasing the content of Fe to specific weight % or below. CONSTITUTION:The content of Fe in Al-Si and Al-Si-Mg alloys to be used as an Al alloy brazing filler metal is decreased to <=0.15%. The presence of a compd. contg. Fe in an eutectic structure has an important relation as a main factor to decrease the strength of the joint part. The content of Fe in the Al alloy brazing filler metal is consequently decreased to <=0.15% by which the formation of the Fe compd. in the structure of the joint part is prevented. The Fe component exists not in the form of a compd. but in the solid solution state in the alpha phase and therefore the toughness and strength of the joint part are improved.
