PURPOSE:To ensure good adhesion and ensure that a molten ink is securely transferred and high printing quality can be obtained, by using an electrostatic force for adhesion of a printing medium and a printing material. CONSTITUTION:The printing medium 1 comprises a conductive light-transmitting layer 3 capable of being broken by electric discharge provided on a major side of a light-transmitting base sheet and a heat-fusible ink layer 4 provided on the other side. The ink layer 4 side of the medium 1 is laid on a printing material 8, the laminate is irradiated with heat rays from the layer 3 side, and the ink layer 4 at hole parts provided by discharge breakdown is melted and transferred. An end part of the medium 1 is covered by an insulator, the layer 3 is grounded, and charging is conducted from the back side of the printing material by a charger 10, thereby adhering the medium 1 and the material 8 to each other. Accordingly, dielectric breakdown is prevented from occurring at the end part at the time of charging, ideal charging can be performed, and good adhesion of the medium 1 and the material 8 is achieved. Therefore, the ink 4 is securely transferred onto the material 8, and printing can be conducted with high printing quality. |
